Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek Overview

Manaslu Trek via Tsum Valley, about mighty 8163 meters high Mt. Manaslu, and the secret valley of Tsum is unexpectedly famous amidst wilderness trekking keens. Upon Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal, our office representative will pick you up from the airport and transfer to the hotel. along the way you will see daily life of the Kathmandu Valley. today you will be rest and small walk around Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu.

Today we will drive into the rich culture of Kathmandu with a guided sightseeing tour of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. our first stop is Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the “Monkey Temple”, where we will explore the ancient complex and enjoy panoramic views of the entire Kathmandu valley. Next, we will visit Boudhanath Stupa, a truly sacred and awe-inspiring site for Tibetan Buddhists and one of the largest stupas in the world. we will also visit Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located along the holy Bagmati river. Our tour continues to Patan Durbar Square, a showcase of stunning traditional Newari architecture and art. after an incredible day of exploration, we will head back to the hotel to prepare for the start of our trek tomorrow.

Today we begin our trek to Machhakhola. our first day on the trailis a scenic one, as we pass by beautiful waterfalls and walk through vibrant, green scenery. our destination is the peaceful village of Machhakhola, which sits right on the riverbank.

Today, we trek to the village of Jagat, which serves as the official entrance to the Manaslu region. a highlights of the day will be crossing the impressive hanging bridge at Yaruphant as we make our way.

Today, our journey takes us to lokpa, the official gateway to the magnificent Tsum Valley. we will leave the main trail behind and follow the path that split right, leading us towards this hidden Valley. our destination for the night is the small and peaceful settlement of Lokpa, the perfect resting spot before we venture further into the secret valley.

Today’s trek takes us to the village of Nile, a beautiful village in the upper tsum valley, where we will experience the culture and traditions of the region. the trail is a scenic walk alongside the river. in the afternoon, we will have the chance to visit the oldest Monastery in the valley.

Today is a day dedicated to the rich heritage of the tsum valley. after a nourishing breakfast, we will trek to Mu Gompa, a spiritual landmark that sits at the northern end of the valley, close to border of Nepal and Tibet. this ancient monastery is a true highlights of the region. after exploring this sacred site, we will return to Nile Village for the night.

After our time in Tsum Valley, we will reconnect with the main trail today. our route will take us to deng village, where we will join the path for the famous Manaslu circuit.

Once we have had breakfast, our day begins with a climb towards the village of Namrung. the trail today is a diverse mix, and we will be gaining more altitude as we approach our Destination. overnight will be this beautiful Namrung village.

Today’s journey promises a big reward: Our first glimpse of the incredible Mt. Manaslu. after breakfast, we will start our trek, passing through charming villages like Bhanjam, Shyo, and Lho gaun, each offeringmore majestic views of Manaslu and surrounding peaks. we will eventually reach Syala, a village famous for its unparalleled Mountain vistas- truly the best on the entire route.

Our day starts with a special side trip to Pungen Gompa, the ‘lost gompa’ of the area. this hike is perfect for acclimatization, combining a gentle climb with sense of peaceful spirituality and absolutely incredible mountain views. once we have had our fill of the serene atmosphere we will make our way to Sama Gaun, the Main Hub of the trek, where many climbers begin their final preparations for summiting Mt. Manaslu.

We are taking day to acclimatize with a hike to Manaslu Base Camp. this steep climb is well worth the effort, the trail offers spectacular views all the way up. we will stop to admire the stunning turquoise Birendra Lake before reaching Base Camp. there might get a chance to meet some of the legendary Sherpa who share amazing tales of Mountains. we will head back to Sama Gaun in the evening to rest.

We are back on the trail today, making our way towards Samdo Village. the path is easy and flat, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the incredible views as we slowly approach the high Pass.

Our days trek takes us to Dharmashala, the last small settlement before we tackle the high pass. as we climb, the views become more stunning and the mountain life feels even more remote. this afternoon, we will do a small acclimatization hike to get ready for the final, challenging push over the pass.

Today is the big day: we are finally crossing Larkya La Pass, we will start early and begin our long ascent and descent above 5000 meters. this pass is known as the longest in the Himalayas, and the rewards are well worth it, absolutely breathtaking mountain views. once we make it over the top, we will descend steeply to the stunningly beautiful village of Bhimtang to rest for the night.

following our pass- crossing yesterday, today’s journey is a pleasant descent towards Goa Village. the trail leads us back to thick, lush green forest, where the air feels fresh and revitalizing, and your lings will definitely thank you for it.

We continue our descent today with an easy walk to the gorgeous Village of Taal. nestled right on the banks of the Marsyangdi river. the lower part of the trail are absolutely  beautiful, offering a constant show of lush green forests, roaring waterfalls, and spectacular suspension bridges.

Early in the Morning, we will take a jeep drive to Kathmandu. its a long day drive, offering beautiful views of roaring waterfalls, villages on the Way to Kathmandu.
