Annapurna Region

Annapurna Region, the named after successful ascend Mt. Annapurna 8091m, the 10th highest mountain in the world. First ascend by Maurice André Raymond Herzog and his friend Louis Lachenal in 1950 June 03 with French Expedition Team, first successful ascend by human being over 8000 meter. Annapurna Region is protected by Annapurna Conservation Area Project, first and largest protected area of Nepal which cover 7629 km square. The Home of 523 species of Birds, more than 1200 species of flowering plants, more than 100 of Mammals, more than 40 reptiles and more than 20 amphibians. this area covers low land 700m to highland 8000 meters of Annapurnas. Inside of Annapurna, many adventurous trekking can be done like a world famous Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Ghorepani Poonhill Trek and many more. Annapurna Region is Diversity of Floras and Faunas with Culturally diversity as well as, lower part of the region dominant by Gurung and Magar Culture, higher part Manange and Tibetan Buddhist culture.
